Saints B put their best foot forward to become the overall winners of the 2012 Grahamstown Social Darts League that came to an end last week.
The social league held its prize-giving function at the Graemian Centre last Friday night where Saints B were announced as the 2012 league champions after playing 13 games. Leopards took second spot and the All Stars ranked third.
In the individual awards, Kevin Gornal earned the Player with the Highest Score award with 152 points. Player with the Highest Close went to Tubby Walters and Ann Berriford. Paul Pillay and Richard Davies earned the Players Scoring 171 Only awards while Charmaine Kroukam and Jacques Meyer were awarded for scoring the most 180s. Each scored three 180s.
Seven other league players made 180s throughout the season, including Malcolm Mardon, Esrum Jasson, Trevor Williams, Noel Isaacs, Oliver Kivitte, Rudie Campher and Tubby Walters. The 2012 darts season was made up of three rounds, with the final round of games starting in October and ending last Wednesday.
Clubs making up the Social Darts League were Golden Arrow 1 and 2, Leopards, All Stars, Feline, Bad Boys and Saints 1 and 2. League games were played at the Albany Lounge, First City and Graemian Centre.
