Twenty junior learners from schools in Makana will take part in the Eastern Province Athletics cross country league event in Uitenhage this weekend.
The learners are part of the Rhodes University cross country development programme funded by Lotto.

The learners are part of the Rhodes University cross country development programme funded by Lotto.
The programme was run in Grahamstown over the past few months to identify talented cross-country athletes (boys and girls) in various age groups. \
The cross-country team to take part in tomorrow's event is:

- Siyabulela Mthwa U15 boy,
- Zipho Busani U15 boy (all from Samuel Ntsiko),
- Sanele Papana U10 girl,

- Christopher Papana U16 boy (all Amasango),
- Sinoxolo Adam U11 boy,
- Vuyelwa Peters U13 girl (both DD Siwisa),

- Siphosethu Daweti U14 girl,
