Settler City Toyota Grahamstown has seen a recent upgrade after the purchase of the next-door premises.
Viv Jordan, Settler City Toyota Grahamstown partner, said they had bought the building next to Settler City Toyota, on the corner of Bathurst and Beaufort Streets.
He said it was bought in a dilapidated state and extensive work had been done to restore it, including replacing the roof and ceiling.
The new showroom has been joined to the existing building, which has been repainted. The stone walls and yellow wood flooring has also been redone.
Jordan said the new showroom had added a lot more space and up to nine vehicles could be displayed there. Included in certain upgrades recently introduced by Toyota South Africa was a redo of the workshop.
This will be done at the Grahamstown branch early next year. Settler City Toyota Grahamstown has thus far spent R500 000 on the workshop tools and equipment alone.
