One of the biggest derbies in Sedru took place on Saturday afternoon at the Oval between Old Collegians (OC) and Lily White. OC retained their bragging rights and dominants over their arch rivals Lily White and it was again no different on Saturday 13 April. Salem Cricket Club’s Second team are the new Grahamstown Cricket Board’s (GCB) Second League Champions for the 2018/2019 season. They were crowned Champs despite losing to Rainbows in their last match of the season. Salem last won the GCB Second League back in 2011. Despite losing to Rainbows, the Salem side still ending on top of the GCB log and were declared as deserved winners and champs. The Sidbury Cricket Club are the new champions of the Grahamstown Cricket Board (GCB) First League, clinching the title at the death after 15 years in the league. They celebrated their win, after they demolished Cuylerville in their own backyard at Shaw Park by a bonus point 7-wicket win.
