Makana Municipality has recently identified 57 Grahamstown East households that operate as businesses but are registered as indigent. Makana Amateur Boxing Organisation (Makabo) junior boxers took part in the Eastern Cape Amateur Boxing Organisation (Ecabo) provincial boxing trials in Port St Johns recently. Ten Makabo boxers who had been selected from Cacadu district trials in Port Alfred, took to Port St Johns and along with selected boxers from Ndlambe, they made up the Cacadu team that went head on with other teamsfrom the nine districts of the province.
