The mayoral committee meeting of August 2009 resolved that as from September directors should submit action sheets to meetings of their portfolio committees and the mayoral committee. This is done in order for the committees to monitor any actions taken by municipal officials in implementing the resolutions implemented by the mayoral committee.

The Albany tennis squad was selected after the recent Grahamstown and Districts Junior Tennis Tournament which was held in Grahamstown. The Albany squad is made up of age groups from U10 up to U18. Each age group consists of 10 boys and 10 girls, although six will be chosen for the various district matches.
