Following reports last month, that Walter Sisulu University student Sibongile Mani had R14m accidentally deposited into her account instead of her monthly National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) R1 400 monthly grant, Karabo Baloyi, Kudzil Matsika, Lucas Nowicki, Martin Jones asked the question:
I would buy a car. Actually I would buy a house, and then save up the rest.
I would first withdraw a thousand, then I would pay for my fees, and then trace back where the money came from.
R14 million is a lot of money. I would obviously trace it to where it came from.
