The awards recognised those demonstrating the greatest impact on quality of life, economic prosperity or regeneration through direct investment, pro bono work or employee-led initiatives.
CDC has played a remarkable role in stimulating socio-economic development in South Africa. In the past four years, the CDC has attracted 54 new investors with a combined investment value of R31.93 billion.
This has seen the Coega IDZ become a premium investment destination showcasing world-class infrastructure and expertise.
The CDC recently signed BAIC, a R11.5 billion investment automotive plant to be located at the IDZ.
