Scores of people were asked to leave a Grahamstown Magistrate's Court room last week before a man and his under-aged co-accused appeared before the magistrate.

The pair is accused of the murder of court employee Jacques Martin Louw, who was stabbed to death in K Street in September.
People who were at court for other cases were asked to leave the court room while the man and his young co-accused were preparing to appear before the magistrate.

Louw was murdered in K Street on 15 September according to police spokesperson Captain Mali Govender.

She said a witness had reported seeing three men who looked like they were playing in K street on Saturday night.
After a while the witness had realised one of the men was still on the ground and, seeing blood, called the police.

The police were called to the scene at about [8.30pm] before an ambulance arrived on the scene to declare the 40-year-old man dead, she said. According to the police, Louw had multiple stab wounds to his upper body. The two men were arrested shortly after the incident and charged with murder.
