The Church Square fleamarket returns to the National Arts Festival to capture visitors' interest once again with various themed stalls and a food paradise for the hungry.
These funky little stalls seem to almost cater for everyone, with a huge variety of products, including clothing and accessories – backpacks, purses, handbags, jerseys, hoodies, gloves, scarves, hats, beanies, wallets and shades. You can also get bargains for your home – paintings, duvet covers, pillows and pillow cases and curtains.
There is even a stall that even sells beanbags. For those interested in African art and craftwork, this is the spot to find a huge variety of African masks, drums and various ornaments. As an almost inherent tradition at these flea-markets, there's also a Rastafarian-themed shop, selling surprisingly high-quality Rasta paraphernalia, clothing and accessories.
When it comes to street food, this is the place to be. Spread one after the next as mounted shops, you will find stands selling biltong, chips, fruits, wors and steak rolls, shawarmas, ice cream and even Thai food. Whether it's for some bargain shopping, or just to fill a hungry tummy, you're sure to find yourself taking one or two items back home from the Church Square fleamarket.
