Ever wondered exactly where Grahamstown’s water supply comes from, and how it gets to us? The Grahamstown branch of Wildlife and Environment Society (Wessa) invites you on an educational tour of part of that network and its machinery.
The tour will start at Glen Melville dam, then view the exit and entrance of the tunnel and the Hermanuskraal diversion weir, and finally visit the James Kleynhans filtration works below the dam. Gather on Saturday, 27 February in front of the Albany Museum by 8am to organise transport. Bring
hats, snacks and water, of course.
