Rhodes University hosted the University Sports South Africa Tennis Tournament last week.
The tournament saw 44 men and women university teams from across the country taking part in the event, which started on Monday 7 December and ended with the final matches on Friday 11 December.

The tournament saw 44 men and women university teams from across the country taking part in the event, which started on Monday 7 December and ended with the final matches on Friday 11 December.
The Rhodes team was made up of six men and six women. The Rhodes women’s team played in the A section, while the men played in the B section.
The format of the men’s and women’s events were played differently, with the women playing round robin matches for the full week. The men played round robin matches in their various sections. The top point scoring teams then went on to the next round, before the finals and third and fourth playoffs took place. The women played round robin matches with the winning team earning the most points.
