Paying my visa application fee
WHY AM I PAYING THIS?
This is an administration fee for processing your documents. Please note that the fee is non-refundable once the application is received by VFS global and the Department of Home Affairs even if the application is unsuccessful.
There are several service fees you’ll have to pay for. You won’t have to pay everything once-off if you don’t want to. You can select the base fee only and chose to pay the rest at the visa facilitation office on the day of your appointment.
Paying Process
Submit your application online and pay the fee (around R1300.00 but this changes yearly). Note there is an additional service fee of around R400.00 but this changes too.
After you pay your fees, you will have to wait 24 hours before you can select a time and date for your appointment online. you can change this up to three times for free.
Once you have paid, keep your proof of payment as you will need it when you submit your documents at your appointment.
What currency must I use?
All fees are inclusive of VAT and to be paid in South African Rands
How do I pay?
Payment to secure your online appointment can be made in three ways
Online payment via debit/credit card through the secure online portal
You can EFT the payment through the secure online portal
At a Standard Bank by downloading and completing the online generated bank receipt and depositing the cash into the nearest Standard Bank
